About Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center
Our Job Corps center was originally constructed as a public high school in 1915. This building has been an educational centerpiece in the lives of many students including President Gerald R. Ford. The building was purchased from the Grand Rapids Public Schools by the U.S. Department of Labor in 1982, when it became the Grand Rapids Job Corps Center. On August 27, 2004, the center was renamed in honor of President Gerald R. Ford.
